Who We Are

Overview of VSG

Vinik Sports Group (VSG) was founded by Jeff Vinik to manage the Tampa Bay Lightning, a three-time Stanley Cup Champion franchise (2004, 2020, 2021), and to oversee Benchmark International Arena—the 19,092-seat downtown Tampa venue that serves as the team’s home and a premier destination for live sports and entertainment.

Since 2010, VSG has transformed the Lightning organization and arena through strategic leadership, innovation, and a largely private renovation of the publicly owned facility. With an expanded ownership group that includes Doug Ostrover, Marc Lipschultz, and Arctos, VSG operates at the intersection of sports, entertainment, and community impact—building a culture rooted in performance, excellence, and long-term investment in people.
